Knowledge Math & Physics (Int; Trained Only)[edit]
The knowledge devoted to mathematics and the science of movement and energy. This is an expansion to the usual Knowledge skills.
Knowledge Math & Physics can be used in place of Profession Siege Engineer checks, and can solve major math problems, determine flight paths, and work with the flow of energy. In advanced societies it also covers particle physics and nuclear technologies.

5 | Solve basic arithmetic. Basic practical knowledge of energy. |
10 | Solve basic algebra and simple geometry. Dealing with potential energy and fuels. |
20 | Solve advanced calculus or trigonometry and complex geometry. Handling complex multiple reactions and exotic energy types. |
30+ | Solve or perform theoretical math and n-dimensional manifolds. Handling theoretical energy types and quantum physics. |
In many cases, you can use this skill to identify a creature or object's flight path long before it arrives and can determine the power source of unknown devices.
Action[edit]
DCs up to 10 usually take up to 1 round.
DCs up to 20 usually take up to 1 minute.
DCs up to 30 usually take up to 10 minutes.
DCs at 31+ and beyond take 1 hour or beyond.
For every +10 you exceed the DC by, you decrease the time spent by one step. Reducing 1 round by one step reduces the check to a free action.

Synergy[edit]
If you have 5 or more ranks in Knowledge Math & Physics, you get a +2 bonus on Profession Siege Engineer, on Knowledge Engineering checks made to develop any modern or complex structures or structures with moving parts, and on Programming checks related to password breaching.
Untrained[edit]
An untrained Knowledge check is simply an Intelligence check. Without actual training, you know only common knowledge (DC 10 or lower).
