An aged, golden longspear with a star-shaped tip. It's oversized and heavy.
When used in combat, this weapon serves as a +2 Large-sized longspear. The weapon deals damage as if it were one size larger (3d6), but also weighs twice as much as well. As a standard action, the wielder can cause the star-shaped blade tip to glow as a daylight spell, which is dismissible.
Additionally, as a standard action which provokes an attack of opportunity, the user can let loose a line of sparkling energy, which deals half cold and half electricity damage. This is otherwise as a lightning bolt spell with a DC of 14, using the item's caster level of 9th.
The longspear of the stars is a unique item that cannot be replicated, but is not an artifact and thus may be destroyed or enhanced further as normal. It's special enhancements count the item as an effective +3 total enhanced weapon for further enhancement.
