1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

While the picks are folded in, they look much like ordinary bracers with reinforced mechanical parts underneath the wrists. With a quick pull, the ends spring out into place, ready for action. They gain their name from the appearance they grant the wearer when deployed.

These picks are built into a pair of bracers. They can be folded in as a move action when not not needed and can be deployed as drawing a weapon. When deployed, the picks function as masterwork Climb skill tools but can also be used as weapons in combat. However, while deployed, attacks made with those hands suffer a –2 circumstance penalty. Mantis picks can be enchanted as magical bracers and magical weapons as separate components (adding the costs together for the final item's price).

They are part of the axe weapon group. The price above is for a pair and must be used together to gain the tool bonus.
