Miner [Archetype]
Few minutes. They had just minutes before the orcs horde came through the door. Luckily, few minutes was all that Maruk needed to create an escape through the cave with his trusty pickaxe.Benefit: Archetype Feats grant benefits based on HD:
- 1 HD: You gain proficiency in all kinds of pickaxes. Also, you treat any masterwork pickaxe as a masterwork tool for the purpose of digging and mining. If the pickaxe is already a masterwork tool, the bonuses stack.
- 3 HD: While mining or digging you gain the benefits of the Endurance feat and you can work twice the normal time before requiring to make rolls to avoid fatigue. You may cast the spell detect mineral at will as a spell-like ability. You may only locate natural, unmined ores with this ability.
- 8 HD: While mining or digging with a pickaxe, each strike is a critical hit for the purpose of determining how much damage you deal. Effectively you mine at quadruple the normal speed. You may concentrate on detect mineral as a free action.
- 15 HD: At you option, you may create a passage in rock or solid earth as if casting a the spell passwall, except that you must keep mining with a magical pickaxe and the tunnel is permanent. You may repeat this process each turn, digging the maximum distance you can given your HDs (or less).
Special: You may refluff this feat as "Digger" and make it works with shovels and soft earth and dirt.
