The enormous lumbering mass looks more like an uprooted mountain than a man, its hide beset with stony ridges and covered in moss and wildgrowth. Its oversized brow and coarse features hint at a prehistoric sapience, but the glint of beady, gem-like eyes glint with an ancient wisdom.
Mountain giants are huge even by giant standards, and possess a bulky frame that is broad as a small house. Their skin is clad in mineral deposits, ranging in colour from gray to ferrous, copper, or onyx. Some mountain giants glitter in the moonlight due to reflective silicates embedded within their skin. Many mountain giants play host to a myriad of flora that has accumulated within the rocky crevices of their backs over the centuries, and a mountain giant's age can often be estimated by the amount of green cover it has. A mountain giant stands roughly 20 feet tall and usually weighs in at between 25,000 to 30,000 pounds.
Reclusive and shy, mountain giants rarely speak and do not often maintain relations with other giants, but converse in Terran when they have need to do so.
Combat[edit]
Mountain giants are usually benign and gentle, shying away from aggressive creatures and responding with lethal force only when they are in life-threatening danger or when sufficiently enraged. A mountain giant's attacks count as adamantine and magic for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
A mountain giant often seeks the company of an animal or magical beast companion. This particular creature is raised by the giant and aids it in hunts and battle. A few rare mountain giants may have a dragon companion.
