Occultist [Skill]
You play with power not meant to be played with, whether to destroy them or use them for your own gains.
Benefits: This is a skill feat that scales with your ranks in Knowledge (Forbidden Lore).
- 0 ranks: You combine Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Dungeoneering) and Knowledge (The Planes) into a single Knowledge (Forbidden Lore) skill. You use the highest ranked skill as a base and you are refunded any skill points spent in the other two. You gain half your character level or half your dark insight (whichever is lower) as a bonus on Knowledge (Forbidden Lore) checks.
- 4 ranks: You gain the dark knowledge ability as an archivistHoH of your character level however it only applies against creature of the aberration type, outsider with the augmented aberration subtype, creatures with the abomination subtype, outsider native to the far realm, obyrith and elder evils. If you already possess this ability increase the bonus granted by it by 1, but only against the creatures described above.
- 9 ranks: You only count half of your dark insight for the purpose of determining how much madness needed to mindbreak.
- 14 ranks: You gain a +4 bonus on all ability scores during a strong or overwhelming elder evil sign.
- 19 ranks: You become biologically immortal, you no longer need to breath, eat or sleep and your type change to outsider (augmented aberration).
