A silver band with a golden pearl set in an elephant motif fitting.
This ring, immune to fire damage itself, grows explosive pearls (much like a condensed fireball) in its setting when set in fire for 24 hours. Every 24 hours the ring remains within fire, the strength and size of the pearl increases adding 1d6 fire damage on detonation, until it reaches maximum size after 10 days dealing 10d6 damage. Days spent in fire need not be consecutive. When the ring's wearer dies, the ring activates and the golden pearl explodes, dealing an amount of fire damage (dependent on the pearl) within a 20 foot radius. A DC 14 Reflex save is allowed for half damage.
Attempting to remove the pearl from the setting (standard action DC 14 Strength check) or destroying the ring causes the pearl to detonate. A new pearl needs to be grown after every detonation.
Prerequisites: CL 12; Forge Ring, fireball, contingency
Cost to Create: 1,500 gp; 60 XP; 2 days.
