1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.


Nothing shall withstand the waves of science!

The science wave emitter is a device held in two hands, something of a box with a rounded-rectangular front and two handles with triggers on the bottom. Each trigger must be pulled as a safety measure for the device to emit science waves out of the front. Attacks with the science wave emitter are ranged attacks, dealing 2d4 [Science] damage plus enhancements. Attacks that miss but are enough to hit the subject's Touch AC are dealt half damage instead.

Against subjects weak to science (aberrations, constructs and oozes), the emitter deals an extra 2d6 damage. The emitter is otherwise a +1 weapon and has a 10% discount on adding the Bane enhancement for aberrations, constructs and oozes.

In an area of antimagic, its magical focusers no longer function, and the emitter instead deals its damage in a 15-foot cone with a Fortitude saving throw for half-damage (DC 10 + 1/2 BAB + Dex modifier).

The science wave emitter counts as a heat pistol for proficiency. An operator with proficiency in that weapon is proficient with the science wave emitter.

Opening or modifying the science wave emitter voids its warranty.

The science wave emitter is a unique item and cannot be replicated, but it can be enhanced or destroyed as normal.

Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, limited hypothesis, scholar's hand.
Cost to Create: 2,000 gp, 160 EXP, 4 days.
