|benefit=This metamagic feat may only apply to spell with the [death] descriptor or that deal damage. A creature slain by an annihilating spell has it body reduced to ashes (as per [[SRD:Disintegrate|''disintegrate'']]). If the spell would already reduce the body to ashes you may instead destroy the target's soul, preventing any afterlife or resurrection unless the soul is restored through a [[SRD:Miracle|''miracle'']] or [[SRD:Wish|''wish'']]. An annhilating spell is particularly destructive on objects, ignoring hardness and always dealing maximum damage against unattended object objects and terrain. An annihilating spell uses a spell slot +1 level higher than the spell’s actual level.
