|benefit=This metamagic feat may only apply to spell with the [death] descriptor or that deal damage. A creature slain by an annihilating spell has it body reduced to ashes (as per disintegrate). An annihilating spell is particularly destructive on objects, ignoring hardness and always dealing maximum damage against unattended objects and terrain. An annihilating spell uses a spell slot +1 level higher than the spell’s actual level.
If a creature is slain by an annihilating spell of at least 6th level (before any metamagic modifiers) the spell also destroy it soul. This essentially make the slain creature stop existing, leading to no afterlife and making resurrection difficult. The target cannot be raised but may be resurrected, however the caster must make an opposed caster level against the caster of the annihilating spell or the resurrection attempt fail and all resource in it casting are wasted. Alternatively the slain creature may be resurrected through true resurrection, miracle or wish without chances of failure.
