{{Author|author_name=Arkangelknight|date_created=09-09-09|status=Complete}} Another simpler way to make death more urgent and disheartening is simply to say that spells which raise the dead have a limited time period on which they work and only function on a body that is mostly in tact. Eliminate the ''Reincarnation'' and similar spells altogether and make ''Raise Dead'' only function within an amount of time equal to 1 round per caster level within the target's death while ''Resurrection'' functions only within 10 minutes per caster level of the target's death and all greater effects which resurrect a target must be done within 1 day per caster level of the target's death. If a resurrection effect is done outside these time constraints you can rule that they do not work or that they only bring the target back for a temporary amount of time which is either very limited (same durations as above) or can never be repeated on the same target. You could also say that bodies which are damaged too severely must be rebuilt by adding artificial limbs and organs either through modern science or magical prosthetics. Creating such things would either require the casting of a ''Regeneration'' spell on a body before any raising could be done or the ability to craft such devices or constructs.:'''Poster:''' Arkangelknight; Such practices would either use the d20 Modern rules for cybernetic implants, the 3.0 rules for half--[[User:Arkangelknight|Arkangelknight]] 10:14constructs, September 93.5 rules for living constructs, 2009 (UTC)or custom rules.
