Mmm, long duration lightsaber. |

Gives the means to a wizard to fight in melee without overdoing it. Simply balanced. |
Actually might be overleveled[edit]
It's better than Flame Blade (2nd) but not by too much. 3rd is fine, especially given that duration. 4th if it has a nice long duration. Actually I fancy me some long-duration lightsabers, and comparing this to Thunderlance (4th, and almost compatible) you trade reach for long duration and dismissing blast. Recommend 4th level with 10 min/level duration. Otherwise, I like. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 08:06, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
- Just to point out that this is by no means a lightsaber: you still have to make actual attack rolls, not touch attacks. The spell gives you some means to hit with it, though, nearly as well as an equivalent level fighter armed with a longsword without the feats (but you have a better threat range, yay!). I find the comparison more fitting with Transformation than with Flameblade, actually. Its longer duration makes up for its limitations, though. Plus, that special one-time attack is a nice touch, too. -HarrowedMind (talk) 21:36, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
