Piercer Cloak (MIC 118)[edit]
900 gp and a swift action will allow you to (arguably) gain 2d6 damage to all of your attacks 3 times per day. I'm sure by level 20, this character could afford several of these cloaks and just swap them out each combat. --Andrew Arnott (talk, email) 03:07, May 16, 2010 (UTC)
Just wondering...[edit]
But why does the build use Vassal of Bahamut? I'm a bit confused as to what mechanical benefit it adds.--YX33A 13:44, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
- light armor that gives +8ac before being enchanted.--NameViolation 17:21, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
+5 Weapon[edit]
The +5 damage from the weapon seems to have been left out of the equation (The total bonus damage is listed as +86, not +91).--Tavis McCricket 18:49, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, fixed it. --Ghostwheel 20:20, June 2, 2010 (UTC)
Vassal of Bahamut[edit]
The reason for the Vassal of Bahamut, is yes, the great armor, but also the ability to cast divine spells at level 2 of that prestige class. this allows you to become a blade dancer from oriental adventures, which requires the ability to cast arcane or divine spells. As is written, this build actually isnt valid, due to the fact that there is no way it can cast spells (only 1 level of Vassal of Bahamut, not the necessary 2)and therefore cannot get into the Blade Dancer Prestige Class.

- ...I remember there was a reason that I had Psychic Warrior class levels instead. The build assumes that a DM will let you use psionic powers instead of spells to qualify for the PrC, I'll make a note of it. --Ghostwheel 08:09, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
Falling damage while attacking?[edit]
Where is the rule about attacking while falling? Thanks. Ezzetabi 16:45, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
- I believe that if you make the jump check you don't take falling damage. That said, can always take boots of catfall from MIC if needed. --Ghostwheel 01:27, September 23, 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I was unclear. I meant: what is the rule you use to add 3d6 (Falling Damage) in the attack damage? Ezzetabi 06:54, September 23, 2010 (UTC)
- I figure you're a falling object, but the main force is going through the spear that you're using. Rather than adding your entire weight (which might not be kosher by the rules, I'm not sure how a DM would adjudicate that), I simply added the amount of damage that you'd get if you actually fell from the height you jumped to the damage, which is what a previous DM of mine decided. --Ghostwheel 07:19, September 23, 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for clarification. Maybe you should add a note you house-ruled that. FYI the feat `Roof-jumper' from Cityscape permits to add falling damage that way. Ezzetabi 15:39, September 24, 2010 (UTC)
Issues with the math[edit]
Last time i checked multiples do not get added in that way. A times 2 plus a times 2 does not equal what you have. ex 10 x 2 = 20 x 2 = 40 rather multiples get added in this fashion a times 2 plus another times 2 would be a times 3. ex 10 x 3 = 30
