Evil & Vile

Nothing about this is evil or vile. Why is this limited by alignment? It reads more like "you scribble over your name in the cosmic ledger so finding you is difficult" rather than "you've committed a terrible atrocity by sacrificing cuddly baby bunnies to the alter of pain so that people can't pronounce you right or something".
