Why is the image a link instead of uploaded? Whatever, what do we have here. Some kind of rogue-caster hybrid from the looks. 6+Int skills and... no class skills. That seems like an oversight.

Kukris are already a light weapon.

The formatting for this whole class is weird and wrong. That can be fixed but how did you even get it like that? Whatever, it seems warp strike is a ranged attack that brings you into melee. For some reason the pathfinder version is way weaker with a limitation, and I'm not sure why.

There's a limit on what can be taken as spells, but I'm not sure why as I haven't seen the fluff behind the class yet. Wait a second... teleporting to strike in melee, Fire/Cold/Elec, the Kingsglaive in the picture URL. Is this supposed to be Noctis? Well huh, that's... actually pretty random. You probably should have some fluff what this class is supposed to be (something beyond "this is FF15") because as it stands it is just a weird limited Arcane Trickster class. I'd have word on how this does a poor job mimicking Noctis so far, but I also don't actually care about that part. I want to know how it holds up on its own, fluff aside.

Warp Strike Mastery: What is a "blitz"? Also, it seems to imply you might get a full attack for every attack you have, as long as you can attack at range. Actually that might be recursive and permit infinite attacks, but I suspect that's not the intent. Still, the wording for such is poor and opens it up for abuse.

Yeah, this needs fluff to justify its abilities, and the abilities need to be tightened. As a stand alone class though I find little to be excited for. I become a worse rogue with a hampered sneak attack. I become a worse caster with poor scaling. And I need to qualify in the first place, entering in at the surprisingly late 8th level. Even as a moderate class, I don't think that cuts the mustard.

So I'm curious, why so many prereqs? To become one of these you have to be a very specific build. And why can't Gobby Gobstopper the Goblin be one? It may be a reference to the game I'm not getting but there doesn't seem to be a fluff reason monstrous humanoids can't be glaives. Stream of Consciousness Review[edit]

Been meaning to review this for a while, might as well get to it.

  1. Prereqs: The prereqs seem a bit screwy; most games go to level 12 at most (and even that's pushing it). This PrC feels as though it's trying to do everything, but the real question is... what class is it for? Is it for a sneaky caster? A sneaky fighter? A fighting caster? Needs to make up its mind, because as it is in general it's going to be very hard to do more than two of the three things this class tries to do while still maintaining decent ability in the rest of them. Also, the non-monstrous humanoid thing is really out of left field with no reason either from flavor or mechanics. Also, what's up with those feat prereqs? TWF and ranged don't tend to go together. I totally get feat taxes, but honestly, make it either a true feat tax with something fairly useless yet related, or don't have one at all. Also why only non-evil? No flavor or mechanics to back this up as well.
  2. First impressions: While 6/10 casting isn't HUGE when combined with full BAB, when you have full sneak attack progression on top of that, it feels too bloated. I would reduce it to 3d6 sneak attack gained over 10 levels (3, 6, 9 or 4, 7, 10) so that it doesn't get everything for very little. You could make the comparison to the daring outlaw, but those guys have almost no skill points. All this on top of 8+ skill points per level doesn't feel right. This is an even bigger no-no under Pathfinder, which I'll assume from here on out that this is for, as you mention rogue talents.
  3. Warp Strike: Seems pretty decent, but I would maybe think of putting a bigger restriction on it so it's not a teleport every 1d4 rounds for very little investment. That said, it's probably fine... in 3.5. In Pathfinder, you might want to also put a restriction on the number of times it can be used per day, as Pathfinder content tends towards Moderate in balance level. Note that unless you mention it, ranged weapons have a range increment of x5, meaning that they probably won't go beyond 100' anyway.
  4. Ability Sacrifice: lolwut? Why is this a thing? People will just "sacrifice" something they care nothing about. Whoops, no trap sense... not like anyone cares anyhow. This makes no sense to me, and should just be taken out in my opinion. It's not a good enough justification for the power, especially as it only comes at level 12+.
  5. Elemental Strike: Seems fine, ignore DR for an attack, or stop regeneration. Shouldn't be a problem.
  6. Warp Strike Mastery: Does... this do what I think it does? Does it basically let you make two full attacks in a turn? That's REALLY powerful, especially what with how often you might be able to use Warp Strike if you roll well on the recharge die. I'd find a different capstone personally.
  7. Bonus feats: Why? Let them use their feats for that if they want to do it. Feels like it tries to pigeonhole the character into a certain style of play. Before reading this, I assumed that you teleport in, and then constantly make full attacks until someone isn't within a 5' step, attempting to get into sneak attack position and that was the way you fight. So why is this here?

ThanksGhostwheel I've made some changes based on your recommendations, and better described others for clarity. This is meant to be a much later game prestige class. Mainly those starting around tenth to fifteenth level, and possibly going into epic levels.

Prereqs: The reason for Point Blank Shot is because Glaives throw their weapons. No it isn't a good feat but, its also not a bad one so long as you're within 30ft. Racial restrictions, this is just a flavor thing, while sticking with the cannon of Final Fantasy, its pretty much humans, and variants of them, so I tried opening it up to anything not monstrous.

Casting/Sneak Attack: I did reduce the amount of sneak attack dice gained through the class. As far as spell casting goes it wasn't the best to begin with, while it is 6/10 there's also the fact that their spells can only be from "fire, cold, electricity or be from the Travel domain." so this also nerfs the casting ability slightly.

Warp Strike: I changed it a little, and added a Pathfinder variant.

Ability Sac: Got rid of this.

Warp Strike Mastery: It seemed you were misunderstanding how Warp Strike worked so I clarified, it pretty much allows for a single extra attack.

Bonus feats: As far as this goes. Glaives are meant to be moving around the battle field a lot.

So Here's The Deal[edit]

I admit, this prestige class is wonky. I am requesting help and allowing anyone to edit this, I really want this to be a playable prestige class but i just don't know where to start. I made some edits a while ago, but I don't believe I made enough. I'm a little overwhelmed as its the first prestige class I've ever made but im willing to correct it and make it better.
