The spells seems fun, a bit different from the usual area of control spell you see, as it targets characters individually, can be "recasted" against new creatures, or possibly creatures that successfully saved, making it particularly nasty, but not "you can't move at all here" kind of nasty. Probably should specify the interaction with freedom of movement though.

Beside the initial damage burst, the other turns are more negligible, and entanglement and bleed are the real important effects.

Has nice interaction with trying to make the caster lose concentration.

Lastly, nice translation of the analogous Elden Ring spell, now we need an armor of thorns spell

Freedom of movement works without needing a direct reference line, given how it is worded. I designed the spell around a repeatable hold monster, and I need to work on the max duration a little bit. Is there a similar spell in Elden Ring? That must be a coincidence. I based the effect off the Cruel Thicket thorn subdomain ability. --Leziad (talk) 17:39, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
Just went and looked, that spell looks nasty AF. Gotta try it. --Leziad (talk) 20:51, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
It is apparently, and yours reminds me of it. Max duration seems fine, it's just seven rounds, which means that things are dead or free by then. All in all, good spell. --The bluez in the dungeon (talk) 22:55, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
