•Walk into the room and proceed to blind everyone inside. Follow up with light based puns to everyone’s annoyance.• Job done. Honestly though this is a fantastic prestige class, great crowd control potential and debuff while not focusing on being the primary damage dealer, thus leaving room for your allies to be effective and not turning you into a one-man-show. Also I approve of how ‘flashy’ it is, this class is definitely showman approved! Now if you will excuse me I've got some fireworks to make...

Balance

I'd hardly call this Very High, especially since it doesn't do anything for your caster level which renders the higher-level abilities (and any spellcasting you already have) really weak. LenKagetsu (talk) 15:24, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Echoing what Leziad said because of an edit conflict, I think it's Very High due to the number of save-or-suck abilities it possesses (blind, daze, etc.) moreso than any spellcasting progression or lack thereof. Those abilities can effectively end encounters and as a result can pretty much be considered Very High. - TG Cid (talk) 20:45, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Let's see... It's a swift action to at-will dazzle (plus bonus penalties) someone, and you can double that in a round to at-will blind someone at 4. You can then daze lock them at 7. Plus a bunch of AoE powers, random buffs, standard low level attack bits, etc. So yeah, VH, though maybe not if you get in at a more traditional PrC time.

I'm just not sure where you go from here. You can get in at 2 by going a Bard/Druid/Wizard/Etc. 1 and be out by 9. You don't care about any of those starting classes at that point, and so won't be going back to them. You don't have great BAB or other moderate BAB class features to get into other PrCs. Maybe a ToB class? It's like you're getting the PrC part of your character out of the way at the start, and then going back for your non-caster base class later on. There some races giving spell-like ability you can pick flare from or from feats as well. Honestly after being done with jubilant dazzler usually the best option is to find another good PrC, since many class features stack with character level your abilities won't get irrelevant with time. Of course there plenty of base class worth continuing, you can do some nice stuff with jubilant dazzler combined with an initiator. --Leziad (talk) 22:00, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
