Ratings[edit]

RatedOppose.png Eiji-kun opposes this article and rated it 0 of 4.
A plant poison is cool (honestly why are they immune to poison as a type?), but those numbers. It can be delivered by all means including inhalation without mentioning how big of a cloud this poison is, and don't get me started about ingestion. Most plants don't have mouths. And those DCs man, those are some serious DCs. For some reason, the DC changes for the secondary save which is clunky. And it's some pretty serious damage too, with an unneeded ability drain proc that complicates it further.

But then it also is save for half, which is highly irregular for a poison and super abusable.

This thing of questionable balance but very very strong effect must cost thousands of gold!

"45 gp"

NOPE.

Killing Objects[edit]

You can't actually use this to kill a tree. A tree in 3.5e is an object. It doesn't have saves, just hardness and HP for thickness like other objects. --Ganteka Future (talk) 17:04, 17 March 2018 (MDT)

Actually objects can make saves, its just that they usually don't make them and just auto-fail saves unless attended or magical. See SRD:Breaking_and_Entering#Saving_Throws for details. Grog toad (talk) 19:57, 17 March 2018 (MDT)
D&D is dumb about things, and having saves and making saves are... wait, does that only apply to spells as written? D&D is dumb about things. Anyway, the article is getting better, slowly, still a bit on the clunky side, probably ways to streamline it, but don't have the time now for anything further. --Ganteka Future (talk) 20:12, 17 March 2018 (MDT)

Upcoming Rerate, but first questions[edit]

Since it changed since last incarnation I am apt to rate again. I want to tighten up the grammar and formatting too, but first: " Against plants that are not creatures, the plants which are treated as objects take 8 hp damage." This is an oddity. Desiccation damage, the first effect, should work just fine on object plants. Is the 8 damage for things that otherwise couldn't take Con damage? And if so... why 8? That's so odd and arbitrary. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 08:15, 4 April 2018 (MDT)
