	As 500gp items go, this on is probably one of the best trinkets around. I look forward to using a character with maximum ranks in bluff to convince a random NPC that they will get the bonus permanently by shoving the swabs all the way in.

	Wow, this is so funny, and so true! Good mechanics and flavour as well.

Price

If you look at what this item does for you, it seems to be pretty much equivalent to a masterwork listen skill tool in terms of usefulness, flavour notwithstanding. Why then is this item ten times as expensive? --Sulacu (talk) 13:02, 4 May 2013 (UTC)

Primarily it's because I deliberately left the bonus untyped, so it stacks with everything else including the circumstance bonus from that 50gp hearing aid or whatever masterwork listening tool is getting used. Secondly, I felt like if I made it much cheaper, everyone would have one. I picture this item as something a stealth-monkey or perception ninja would want to pick up around 4th level, or something a DM would give to a pick-pocketing rogue: useful and flavorful, but not unbalancing.
