A very solid PrC that opens up a number of different shadow-based options for the warlock. I especially like the fact that it gives you things to actually do with your move actions, something that warlocks were missing in the past, without having things that could potentially break a game or bypass whole adventures. |

This is interesting thematically and a logical branch for a warlock both from a fluff perspective and a mechanical one. As mentioned above, the uses for move actions are a big positive and you aren't losing anything the warlock really cares about (except Imbue Item, but let's ignore crafting shenanigans), though I think some of the abilities could be better defined. For example, what happens at the end of Meld into Shadow if you cannot physically fit into the space you would be restored to, what happens if someone moves through the square containing a shadow clone (might be better off just having you and it share a space), and lastly Jump into Shadows, Greater Beshadowed Blast, Blackout, and Path of Shadows all do not mention action requirement (which is fine, standard is assumed, but it may confuse some), nor do they entail usage limits (assuming at will, but it might be better to clarify). Overall very nice, does its part well without going too crazy. |
