- And now you're giving a level 14 ability to level 6 characters, which isn't balanced. It might not detect a few, select number of creatures, but it's still way more powerful than what you'd expect at that level. --Ghostwheel (talk) 14:37, 28 November 2019 (UTC)

- Coming back to this, still pretty kaput.
- Trading Blows now only reduces damage, but also allows a monk to now make 5 attacks per round without too much trouble.
- This goes up to 6 attacks at level 11.
- Plus, compare this subclass to other subclasses of the monk. This one gets so many abilities that it will quickly lead to option paralysis on the part of players. Even the Four Elements monk doesn't have as many options in a single round's worth of time.
- Trim it down, cut some stuff, streamline it, and give it less attacks per round. --Ghostwheel (talk) 13:18, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- I can just remove the attack for 1 Ki on trading blows, honestly looking at it again not sure what i was thinking. Also, what option paralysis? Half of these abilities just allow the player to improve existing options, not give them new ones. Also most of them are just "how do you want to spend your reaction" and almost all of them only apply to melee combat. - Iskerbabble (talk)
