Unqualifiable?[edit]

Really? --Fluffykittens (talk) 10:42, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

In theory, it is High, because it's a spell-less druid.
However I can't really account for the NI possible valid wildshape forms out there. So I figured I'd play it safe and make it unquantifiable.
What level do you suggest? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 10:49, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
It would really help if we had a "high to VH" rating. Looking at it again, I think I'd say high (though tome combat feats would turn this into VH, just like normal fighters, barbs, and warblades). I('d also be concerned about animal companion- that's a free fighter right there.--Fluffykittens (talk) 19:49, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
In general, we try to refer to the highest level of power something is capable of. For example, we assume a wizard uses color spray and glitterdust over magic missile and polar ray. Conversely, this could be Moderate level if you stuck to crappy forms. So either VH or Unquant sounds right, though I'd probably go with the former what with how crazy some forms can be in the right circumstances--and it's not like you're limited to a specific form. That said, if the Shapeshift variant from PHB2 could be applied to this, I'd put it squarely as High-level. --Ghostwheel (talk) 20:22, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
Can I get some examples of forms that you would consider VH options? - Tarkisflux Talk 21:08, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
Actually I think we should assume that the player is using above-average options most of the time. I know that player don't do that a whole lot but if we assume they always take the best option pretty much everything at H is at VH. --Leziad (talk) 21:15, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
Even if we did assume people always used the best options, I'd still want to see a wide range of applicable forms that fell into VH for me to be comfortable putting it up there. For pretty much the same reasons as I don't agree that a single VH warlock blast option makes it a VH class.
That aside, given the really wide range of options available to the class, and the inability to know what new options are going to be available if it's taken in a homebrew world with its own creature assumptions, I find myself agreeing with Eiji that it's probably unquant even though I don't see anything in here that would be problematic in an H game. - Tarkisflux Talk 18:59, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
