Class Features[edit]
All of the following are class features of the technician.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A technician is proficient with all simple weapons and light armor, but no shield.
Superior Skills (Ex): Technicians are experts in their field, capable of incredible accomplishment. At 1st level, a technician chooses two skills that she has ranks in. She gain a bonus when making skill checks with the chosen skills equal to half her class level (minimum of +1). At 3rd level and each odd levels thereafter, the technician chooses two additional skills to gain this bonus. The chosen skills are henceforth known as 'favored skill' and are further affected by a technician's class abilities. If the technician chooses a skill with a subskill (such as Craft, Knowledge or Perform) she chooses two subskill instead of one.
Studied Combat (Ex): While not a combatant by nature, a technician is capable of holding her own by studying her foes. A 2nd level technician is able to study her opponents to gain the upper hand over them. This ability functions as the investigator's studied combat except that she may do it any number of time against the same opponents in a 24 hours duration and its duration is unlimited. The technician lacks inspiration and studied strike.
Technician Talent: <-class feature game rule information->
Analytic Skill (Ex): A technician can substitute brawn for brain, or anything with brain in fact. Upon selecting this talent she chooses one of her favored skill and add her Intelligence bonus to it instead of its normal dependent ability score.
Ballistic Training (Ex): Upon selecting this talent, the technician gain proficiency with all martial crossbows and the hand crossbow. She gain Point Blank Shot and Ranged Study as a bonus feats. Her ranged study feat applies to all ranged weapon she is proficient with. In game with common firearm, this talent also applies to all martial firearms.
Knowledge Bank (Ex): A technician with this talent may use all knowledge check untrained. She gains a +4 bonus on all knowledge checks that she is trained in.
Magical Crafter (Ex): A technician who selects this talent gain the Master Craftman feat as a bonus feat. She counts as craft skill selected as favored skills as the chosen skill for this feat. Additionally she also gain either Craft Magic Arms and Armor or Craft Wondrous Item as a bonus feat. She must meet the prerequisites of those feats as normal. A technician must be at least 6th level or higher and have at least a single craft skill chosen as a favored skill to select this talent.
Quick Study (Ex): A technician who selects this talent may use her studied combat ability as a move or swift action.
Sniper (Ex): A technician with this talent may applies her studied combat bonus to all targets she can see with no range restrictions. A technician must have the ballistic training technician talent to select this talent.
Cunning Analytic (Ex): While not much of a combatant, the technician know how to use her wits to get out of trouble. She adds her Intelligence modifier as a bonus to her initiative checks and Reflex saves.
Resourceful (Ex): Whenever a technician of 3rd level or higher make a skill checks which requires 1 round or longer to complete, if she is trained in the skill she halves the time required to perform the skill check. If the skill require only 1 round normally to complete, she may complete it as a standard action. This ability stack with similar abilities which reduces the time it takes to perform skills.
Additionally, when using one of her favored skill, if the skill check requires a random amount of time to complete, the technician counts as having rolled the minimal amount of time possible.
Bonus Feat (Ex): At 4th level and each 3 levels thereafter, the technician gain a bonus feat she meet the prerequisites of.
Skill Save (Ex): A 5th level technician can reroll one a check made with one of her favored skill as an immediate action, but she must accept the second roll, even if it is worse.
Reliable Skill (Ex): A 7th level technician can always take 10 on all checks made with her favored skill, even if under duress. She may even do so with her skill save ability.
Studied Advantage (Ex): Upon reaching 6th level, a technician may roll her first attack against the target of her studied combat twice and takes the better roll.
