{{Rating |rater=Eiji-kun |rating=neither |reason=I am wary of death-immunity bypassing save or dies, but this has precedence (via Flesh to Stone).  That said, though it looks like it does have a means of immunity though being a Cold spell, cold immunes are still effected, and I'm not sure why.  Besides disagreeing with it bypassing, I don't know the mechanism in which they are being harmed if its not a cold effect.

:In fairness, this seems an extraordinarily easy fix. Change the spell school to transmutation and you're good to go, in my opinion. Given that this isn't an actual death effect, just a save or die, doing so seems appropriate to me. - [[User:ThunderGod Cid|TG Cid]] 21:11, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

The 42nd Gecko dislikes this article and rated it 1 of 4.
Block Reason: This is a legacy rating from before our current ratings scale. While the reasons should be valid, it is not counted in the ratings on the article page because of the inaccurate scale.
This spell is Freeze Blood, a necromancy [cold] spell. But it seems in the efforts to make a balanced utilitarian save or die, it kinda tramped all over that. It isn't really freezing, or affecting blood, or a cold spell. The description and mechanics of the spell need to match up more.

Its still odd with the wording, but now cold-immune things are effectively immune to this spell (being immune to the death-like effect, then the subsequent cold damage).
