Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Necroblade.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A necroblade is proficient with all simple and martial weapons as well as light armor. A necroblade can cast bard spells while wearing light armor without incurring the normal arcane spell failure chance. However, like any other arcane spellcaster, a necroblade wearing medium or heavy armor or using a shield incurs a chance of arcane spell failure if the spell in question has a somatic component (most do). A multiclass necroblade still incurs the normal arcane spell failure chance for arcane spells received from other classes.

Spells: A necroblade cast arcane spell spontaneously, they do not need to prepare spells.

To learn or cast a spell, a necroblade must have a intelligence score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a necroblade’s spell is 10 + 1/2 HDs + the necroblade’s intelligence modifier.

Like other spellcasters, a necroblade can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per day. His base daily spell allotment is given on Table: The Necroblade. In addition, he receives bonus spells per day if he has a high intelligence score.

A necroblade’s selection of spells is extremely limited. A necroblade begins play knowing all yours 0-level spells and two 1st-level spells of your choice. At each new necroblade level, he gains two new spells of any level he can cast. These new spells can be common spells chosen from the necroblade spell list, or they can be unusual spells that the necroblade has gained some understanding of by study. The necroblade can’t use this method of spell acquisition to learn spells at a faster rate, however.

Necroblades choose their spells from the following list:

0— deathwatch, detect alignment, detect poison, detect magic, detect undead, disrupt undead, gentle repose

1st— ancestral weapon, bone spurs, creeping darkness, chill touch, corpse puppet, enlarge undead, Erzebet's skull bomb, inflict wound

2nd— animate dead, black blood chains, bone shape, command undead, corpse patrol, desecrate, ghoul's touch, halt undead, phantom steed, vampiric touch, voodoo doll

3rd— bestow curse, detect survivor, enervation, flying deathscythes, gravehorde, sadist's silence

4th— absorb undead, animate graft, bonetitan frame, create undead, consumptive field, vampiric touch, greater, force mortality, magic jar, sasha's skull servant, second coming

5th— blood jorum, create greater undead, control undead, dead king's dance, haunting death curse, Rien's rotting touch, freeze blood, Sasha's skeleton crew, unhallow

6th— consumptive field, greater, devour soul, energy drain, evil within, skull cough, shadow of the mage-lords, steal life, zombie apocalypse

Cantrips: Necroblades can cast their cantrips at will.

Rebuke Undead (Su): Necroblades can rebuke undead as a cleric of their class level, they may use their intelligence instead of their charisma for the purpose of rebuking.

Skeleton Minion A 1st level level necroblade can summon a skeleton minion. She do not need to pay any gold in material components for summoning her skeleton minion.

Tomb-Tainted Soul: At 1st level a necroblade gain the Tomb-Tainted SoulLM feat as a bonus feat.

Iron Bindings (Ex): A 2nd level necroblade has learned how to use iron binding and leather straps to make his undead much hardier, any corporeal undead he create (including his skeleton minion) have extra hit point as a construct of their size category.

Salt Bath (Ex):A 3rd level necroblade has mastered the art of salt bath, making any corporeal undead he create (including his skeletal minion) hardier, granting them DR/Bludgeoning equal to his intelligence modifier (this DR stack with the natural DR of undead but no other source).

Unholy Channeling (Su): A 3rd level necroblade add 1d6 points of negative energy dame to all his melee attacks, he add an additional point of negative damage at each odd level thereafter. At the necroblade's option this damage may not heal undead.

Additionally beginning at 3rd level, you can use a standard action to cast any touch spell of the necromancy school you know and deliver the spell through your weapon with a melee attack. Casting a spell in this manner does not provoke attacks of opportunity. The spell must have a casting time of 1 standard action or less. If the melee attack is successful, the attack deals damage normally; then the effect of the spell is resolved.

At 13th level, you can cast any necromancy school you know you know as part of a full attack action, and the spell affects each target you hit in melee combat that round. Doing so discharges the spell at the end of the round, in the case of a touch spell that would otherwise last longer than 1 round.

General of the Unlivings (Su): A 4th level necroblade can control three time his HDs in udeads instead of twice his hit dice.

Tongue of the Dead (Su): A 4th level necroblade can speak with mindless undead with perfect ease, replicating the effect of wild empathy as a druid of his level (except for mindless undead only). Additionally he can use speak with dead as a supernatural ability twice per day.

Undead Apotheosis (Ex): At 5th level, the necroblade gains a +4 bonus on all saving throws made to resist sleep, stun, paralysis, poison, or disease and gains 25% resistance to critical hits, as the light fortification armor special ability and resistance to cold and electricity equal to his class level.

At 10th level, the necroblade gains a +4 bonus on saving throws made to resist ability damage, ability drains, or energy drain.

At 20th level, the necroblade become an undead, gaining the lich template (with no LA). Whenever it would be beneficial he can use his intelligence score as his constitution score. He gain all the benefits of of a undead create (iron binding, salt bath and other benefits granted by feat and other abilities).

Necromancer's Altar (Ex): At 6th level a necroblade may craft a necromancer's altar for 1000 gp and 8 hours of work, he may only a single altar at any time and may create another if his previous altar was destroyed or lost. A necroblade do not need to use material component when animating undeads within 30 feet of his altar. An altar is a large object with 100 hit point, 10 hardness and weight 6 tons.

Improved Minion (Ex): A 7th level a necroblade's skeleton minion now use the necroblade's base attack bonus instead of it own if better. Additionally it now retroactively gain feat as if it was a intelligent creature.

Intelligent Minion (Su): At 8th level necroblade's skeleton minion now gain all the benefits and bonuses of a familiar as if you were a wizard of your class level.

Carnival of the Dead (Ex): A 9th level necroblade gain a +2 caster level bonus on his necromancy spells while in a graveyard, cemetery or other burial site. If he install for at least 24 hours his necromancer's altar the caster level bonus increase to +4 while in proximity of his altar.

Special Preparation (Su): A 12th level necroblade can now create corpse creaturesBoVD with animate dead, create undead and create greater undead.

Adamantine Salt Bath (Ex): At 16th level the DR granted salt bath become adamantine and bludgeoning.

Violent Animation (Ex): At 18th level necroblade animate any creatures of his CR or less that he kill with a melee attack or a spell as per animate dead with no HD limits.
