Shoulder Riding [Fighter] Benefit: You can hang onto the shoulder, ride on top of, or somehow stay on a willing creature who is at least one size category larger than you with no penalty to you or the creature. While on the creature, you gain Soft Cover, and if anyone attempts to attack you, they provoke an attack of opportunity from the creature you are riding on.
If you take the Total Defense action, in addition to the normal AC bonus from using the total defense action, you gain Improved Cover (+8) if your ally agrees to take a -2 penalty to his AC. Creatures who are not smart enough to choose to take a -2 penalty to AC on their own, such as animals, can be convinced to do so with a DC 10 Ride check. If you fail, you only have soft cover.
Special: The weight of you and your equipment is added to your ally to determine whether he is carrying a light, medium or heavy load. Your ally cannot carry you on his or her shoulder if his equipment plus you and your equipment is more than their maximum carrying capacity.
