As you calmly walk in the ancients ruins a huge cracking sound disrupt the utter silence of the place as large portal open, revealing large sharp teeth inside going for what appear to be infinity.

Devouring ones are the infinite mouth of a first generation abomination, preying on mortals and outsider alike for sustenance. Very little is known about the creature behind the portals, except how utterly horrible and impossible it is.

Combat[edit]

Anathema (Ex): Abominations are not affected by supernatural, spell-like or spells of a divine nature such as divine spellcasting, salient divine abilities and the abilities of deities and divine creature. Additionally any weapon they wield, spells, spell-like abilities, supernatural abilities and natural attack count as having the bane property against all divine creatures and creatures capable of divine casting.

Devour (Ex): A devouring one is always looking to feed, it portal mouth attempting to grab juicy little creatures with it astral tongue. Each portal count as count as the center of a That Which Hungers (DC 30) spell.

Disembodied: The Devouring One is behind six portals, each of these portals is large and moving on it own independently but are linked together by the creature behind them. Attacking a portal is attacking a large target (reflected in the stat block), inflicting 100 damage (after DR) to a portal will cause it to shut down. A shut down portal reopens 1d4 round later unless all other portals were closed. Any damage inflicted to a portal is inflicted to the creature, when the creature is lowered to 0 or lower it is forced to withdraw and all portals close. All portals are otherwise autonomous and act on their own initiative.

Dimensional Hunter: As a swift action, a devouring one portal may hunt a creatures through dimensions. The portal teleport 30 feet to the chosen creature and may make a free bite attack against it.

Dimensional Nature: A devouring one is only present on the battlefield thanks to it portal-mouths, in a anti-magic field or dimensional anchor (or effect that prevent teleportation) it is greatly weakened (but otherwise ignore the effects of the spells). Each round a portal in such area has a 20% chance to automatically close.

Gnaw (Ex): Any creature hit by the Devouring One bite attack must make a reflex save (DC 30) or be caught in it wind of teeth dealing 100 piercing damages ignoring all DR. Additionally the devouring one bite attacks are considered vorpal.

Immunities (Ex): Immune to polymorphing, petrification, or any form-altering attack. Not subject to ability drain, or ability damage. Immune to mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects) and death-effect.

Spell-Like Abilities (Sp):'  A devouring one has the following spell-like abilities at CL 20th.  At will - greater teleport.

Regeneration (Ex): A devouring one regeneration is bypassed by weapons coated in the blood of another abomination.

Trip (Ex): A devouring one that hits with a bite attack can attempt to trip the opponent (+58 check modifier) as a free action without making a touch attack or provoking an attack of opportunity. If the attempt fails, the opponent cannot react to trip the devouring one.

Warped (Ex): +8 racial bonus to all saves, attack and AC. These bonuses are already take n in account in the creature profile.
