My comments[edit]

I have only slight reservations on echoing Gan's rating. Simply put, d8 Con DRAIN and AC 27 on a CR 7 creature is a bit too good. If this is addressed, I'd be OK with liking this, since otherwise, it's very good. - MisterSinister 05:03, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Con drain has been lowered to d6 and Dexterity to 28. This should put its AC on more acceptable levels. Vampiric touch SLA has also been brought down to 3/day. Still debating whether to issue a save vs Con drain or keep it no-save as is. --Sulacu 15:30, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

I really like this monster, very fun and quite a challenge to fight.

Hot diggity daffodil, do I like this monster. The concept is such a classic, and it's execution is memorable and endearing as a monster. With built-in methods of dealing with it, and as more of a non-standard combat consisting less of "I attack", encounters are likely to be memorable for the PCs as well as interesting for the DM to flex his tricksyness.

I actually really like the changes. The waves of fatigue is still a little severe for my tastes, but the Con Drain is offset enough by a low attack roll. I'd probably reduce the drain to damage if I ran this, but all-in-all it does make a good hunter type of monster that could appear several times keeping a party on its toes.

Although this is very strong, I think that with the changes, it's manageable. It's also an interesting and genuinely scary monster, and one which I would personally use.
