Unusually small illusory writing covers the largest nonliving surface in the area of effect. Any creature who attempts to read the writing or search the area is dazzled while doing so, and only while doing so. The writing also contains a short hidden message of 25 words or less. A creature who spends 5 minutes or more attempting to read the writing may make a DC 20 Decipher Script check, a DC 20 Intelligence check, and a DC 20 Sense Motive check. Success on any of these checks allows that reader to find the message. Already knowing the message (perhaps from being told by the caster, or being the caster) provides a +1 bonus to this check. Retries are allowed.
A caster who has successfully read the message may treat it as a “piece of writing” for purposes of compelling script. This does not make the text last any longer, nor does it make it any easier to read.
Material Component: A glowing stick of incense or a crystal rod filled with phosphorescent material.
Wall of text can be made permanent with a permanency spell. The caster of the permanency spell must be at least caster level 9th and must pay 500 XP.
