Draculus[edit]

Im a Dracula! Bleh!
Lord Gan, Formerly Human Draculus

A draculus is a form of vampire, some say they are a mutant breed while others claim they are a close cousin. Whatever the case is a draculus possess many abilities associated with vampires but possess very few of it crippling weaknesses (if you want to emulate the full vampire experience get the unholy bloodline flaw!).

Note: Despite the jokey name this is a serious rewrite of the vampire template.

Creating a Draculus[edit]

Draculus is acquired template that can be added to any humanoid, giant, monstrous humanoid or native outsider

Ability Scores: A draculus receives a +4 bonus to her Strength and a +2 bonus to her Dexterity, Intelligence and Charisma. As an undead creature, a draculus has no Constitution score.

Hit Dice: Increase all current and future Hit Dice to d12s.

Size and Type: The draculus’s type changes to undead (augmented humanoid or monstrous humanoid). Do not recalculate base attack bonus, saves, or skill points. Size is unchanged.

Special Attacks: The Draculus gain all of the following special attacks.

Alternate Form (Su): As a standard action, a draculus may take the form of a bat, wolf, or rat at will.

Hypnotizing Gaze/Voice (Su): As a standard action a draculus can hypnotize someone with a gaze or the sound of her voice, as a standard action she may replicate the effect of greater hypnotism. A creature who save is immune to further attempts to hypnotize them for 1 hour.

As a full-round action you may target up to one creature per 2 HD you have.

Vampiric Bite (Ex): A draculus gain a bite feral strike, each successful hit made with it deal 2 point of bleedout damage or 4 point of bleed damage on a natural 20. A draculus may always decide to deal non-lethal damage with her vampire bite. Once per round she may also deliver automatic bleedout if she bite a helpless, pinned or willing creature.

Immortality (Ex): Unlike a normal undead, a draculus is not destroyed when she is brought below 0. Instead she fall inert, she does not die from mere hit point damage no matter how much is dealt. In order to kill an inert draculus she must either be staked through the heart with an oak stake, decapitated with a silver weapon or her body completely destroyed (such as being burned and then all remaining bone crushed). A holy weapon ignore this ability.

Messy Death (Ex): When a Draculus is properly slain they either turn into dust (as per disintegrate) if exposed to sunlight. If slain through more conventional means it instead explode violently, your body is considered destroyed and leave a horrible mess behind, the space you occupied and your natural reach is now filled with gore (treated as instantaneous grease) and count as difficult terrain until cleaned up.

Rapid Healing (Ex): A draculus has Rapid Healing 10.

Turn Resistance (Ex): A draculus has +4 Turn Resistance.

Vulnerable to Sunlight (Ex): A draculus is automatically dazzled in natural sunlight. After 5 round of staying in continuous natural sunlight she take 2 points of Strength Burn, she take the ability burn every 5 continuous round she stay in sunlight. A cloak, darkness spell or other form of cover that does not completely block sunlight allow her to last 15 rounds before taking any Strength Burn. If her Strength is reduced to 0 or lower this way she immediately dies.
