One living creature that you indicate within range of this spell falls into a deep, comalike sleep from which it cannot be awakened by any means. The creatures life functions are slowed and maintained by this spell making it so the subject does not require food, water or even air. So long as no harm befalls the subject they can remain asleep for an unlimited amount of time, never aging. Even attacks or being damaged does not awaken the affected creature. Only living creatures that can sleep can be effected by this spell. Meaning constructs, elves, undead and other such creatures are immune to the effects of this spell.
When you cast this spell, you must speak out loud and designate one condition that will awaken the creature and break this spell. It can be whatever you think up, but it has to be physical possible to do, and cannot be directly harmful to the affected creature. It can be anything from a kiss from a dashing prince, an aligning of the stars, the coming of a comet that only comes once every 75 years, the death of a specific person, someone's wedding, etc. It cannot however, be something that is impossible such as claiming that a specific Human has to get married 1000 years from now under a polka dot colored moon. The Human can't physically live that long and the moon isn't polka dotted. If you set such an unrealistic condition the spell simply fails and that spell slot is used for the day.
Anyone that happens to be present or within hearing range at the time you cast the spell may possibly be aware of the conditions to break the spell, in addition anyone who casts the analyze dweomer on the creature that you cast this spell on, finds out the condition for breaking it. If the condition that you set ever becomes fulfilled, the spell ends immediately and the target regains consciousness with no memory of the time that has passed. This spell can also be removed from a casting of Break Enchantment, Limited Wish, Wish or Miracle spell or effect.
