Traits Amorphous. The shadow can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch without expending extra movement to do so. Pack Tactic. The shade has Advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the shade’s allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally doesn’t have the Incapacitated condition. Sunlight Weakness. While in sunlight, the shadow has Disadvantage on D20 Tests.  Actions Multiattack. The shadow makes two melee attacks. Life-Draining Bite. Melee Attack Roll: +5, reach 5 ft. Hit: 8 (1d8+3) Piercing damage plus 4 (1d8) Necrotic damage, and the Target's Hit Point Maximum is reduced by the damage.  Bonus Actions Shadow Leap. The shadow may Teleport to an unoccupied space within 60 feet of it that is in Dim Light or Darkness and Hide.  Reactions Intangibility. Trigger: The shadow take damage other than Radiant. Response: The shadow becomes intangible, with Immunity to all damage types until the start of its next Turn.

Lore

Shadow beasts are Fey creatures of shadow native to both the Shadowfell and the Feywild. They stalk their prey in packs (usually of 3-12 (3d4) beasts).

While they carry the moniker "beast", they are not animals. They are vicious predators, seeking to claim the life-force of the unwary. They are know for their tracking ability. Some rumors say they can sense life-force and track it.

When glimpsed, they have the form of canine or feline creatures the size of a panther. In sunlight, which they avoid, they appear translucent.

On their native planes, they are even more powerful, as they do not have to worry bout sunlight (The feywild being in perpetual twilight and the shadowfell in perpetual shadow).
